Hi
The air doesn't even come close. It's too large to be a netbook, for one, with a 13-inch screen. It has fewer connectors, and is at least four times the price of a netbook--netbooks run around the $300-$500 range. The air would qualify as a subnotebook, but not as a netbook.

The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair.
