Hi Ben, in answer to your question about being able to start vo so
you can use it in the install, yep, just wait for the disc to stop
spinning, and hit command f5. And I'm not totally sure about this,
but I believe your command and option keys would be reversed if you
were using a PC keyboard, the command key would be the windows key,
and the option key would be the alt key. Not totally sure aboutthat
though, , as I've never tried hooking up a PC keyboard to my mac.
Hope this helps.

Hey all.
Sorry for starting another topic with a stupidly long subject line,
but I think its better if things are done this way for archival
purposes.
Since i'm at school and my other mac is at home, all I have is pc
hardware here. I was wondering if anyone is able to tell me how I
would go about pressing command and option on a bog standard usb pc
keyboard?
Secondly, when I got my first mac and installed tiger, I didn't kno
about how vo could be lornched to do the install with out help, so
i've never done it on my own.
I can work out what options I need to tick and things like that, but
after booting from the disk and waiting for it to quiet down, am I
able to just press command f5 and have it start speaking?
Thanks for any answers to any of the questions.
Cheers.
