@Kees Kriek: installeren van Ubuntu of Mint naast Windows 8, is gelukkig nog steeds niet moeilijk. Wel is het nodig om vooraf wat instellingen van Windows 8 te wijzigen, want Microsoft heeft hierbij wat extra hindernissen opgeworpen: https://sites.google.com/site/computertip/windows
Nadat je dat hebt gedaan, kun je als volgt overgaan tot het eigenlijke installeren van Mint of Ubuntu: https://sites.google.com/site/computertip/installeren Ik heb het zelf ook zo gedaan op m'n Windows 8-flaptop, en vervolgens beschreven in bovenstaande handleidingen.
