What about me? What does Daniel do?
* I have a low-security passwords for things I don't care about (news papers, comics, etc) or just have Firefox remember the password.
* For secure content (OOo's CVS, banking, etc) I use a quasi-random
character generator to produce strong passwords. These are stored
in a file encrypted with GPG. Whenever I need one of those, I decrypt the GPG file to grab it.
* I use a strong 23-character passphrase for my GPG which I generated using a collection of coins of various denominations.
So if I save all my passwords (I simply don't for banking...) using Mozilla, are you saying that this is a stupid thing to do?
Do you know of a linux tool that encrypts passwords?
Cheers
Ingo
