OpenClipArt has a zillion images already. Between OOoExtras and the Docs page we have a good number templates.
Isn't this enough to make a valuable Extras package today?
probably is enough.
for example we had at OpenClipart.org a new release this week (http://openclipart.org/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?PR_Announcement_10) containing over 3000 images, if 2000 from those are suitable for us, i think this is plenty.
As for photos, we could consider using OpenPhoto, but those are not public domain. They all require attribution. So maybe we should start our own photo collection. But I don't see a need to put the Extras package on hold because of this.
definitely we don't need to put Extras on hold for this, but i repeat myself: if we start collecting now, i already have photos ready to be donated.
Right now, as we speak, I'm working on an update to the download page which I'll propose at the website team. And it'll have room for downloading an Extras package. I'll post the URL here as soon as it has a URL :-) Just give me 20min.
i admire your energy: you propose some improvements for the homepage and get kicked, after that propose improvements for the To-Do page and get kicked again but this does not stop you to propose improvements to another page only to be kicked again. (and i'm not counting other older proposals, like the license page)
