Horizontal and vertical dimensions are normally inches or mm; points are too small. OO does not at present allow selection of point sizes for line spacing and inches or mm for setting of margins, line widths, tabs, etc.

I am in no way a typographer, but using the Stylist (OOo 1.1.4 - Writer) I can set, at least in terms of what is shown in the settings, spacings set by .01 cm, including tabs and line spacing (as "leading"). Using Format Page margins can likewise be set at .01 cm. I have not tried to see if the printed output is adjusted, but certainly the facility is there.
