Thank you for the compliment, however while we do try to be as compatible as is possible with our proprietary opposition, we do not try to be just a clone, so being "very familiar" with OOo would probably be more valuable.Hello,
I am very familiar with the Microsoft Office suite and would like to congratulate
you on the success of this product.
I use this product for college and would be greatful if you could add the following feature.
1. When creating a pie chart have the ability to add the percentage beside the corrosponding segment. You will notice this in Excel. I'd like to be able to see this in Open Office.
The following options are availiable in Excel.
Show Label Show Percent Show Percent and Label None
2. The ability to make the pie chart go onto a new page but FILL the entire page so that it is easiliy printed
3. I'm not sure if this is already in but the ability to have a description
at the top of the pie chart when it is created.
Most of these things are already in OOo now or is in up coming releases. It's just that the method is slightly different. However if it isn't exactly as you would wish you can always file an RFE (Request for enhancement). First check in at http://qa.openoffice.org/issue_handling/pre_submission.html . This will explain how to check if your issue hasn't already been asked for and if not, then how to file a new issue. Then all you have to do is convince a goodly number of the community to vote for it.
If you have any further questions please don't hestitate to contact me andThat is not really feasible, however if you want to keep in touch with the OOo community and the development of the software, subscribing to the mail lists is your best option. Then downloading and running the latest developer snapshots ( http://download.openoffice.org/index.html) and test running it, is a great way to contribute to the development.
I would be greatful if you could notify me if the feature is going to be
incorporated.
Cheers Yo
