Hi Al, Thanks for your suggestion. However at this time there is no official project in OpenOffice.org to implement a grammar checker. This is not an easy project as languages are not easy to parse. In fact many people complain that the MS checker is not that good for certain types of writing. By the way there are many other ways to contribute to OpenOffice.org which do not involve programming.
