A blog is a journal, is also a personal website. So there is no repository for blogs. Blogger.com right now for blogs what Geocities was for personal websites.
A blog is a journal, is a simple personal post (like a forum) you just type your daily stuff and submit and viala you generate an output. (Similar to adding a news to a PHP-Nuke site) The RSS feature is that people that add an RSS can be notify that the page has been updated, (similar to an email notification). There is nothing new here really, is just a different implementation of the same upload content- notify users interested in updates.
