I have no opinion on which of the Open Source databases is best, and the relative merits of one over the other. I have played with the *base application that comes with the 2.0 snapshots and it appears to be a nice product. I will admit that my evaluations have been mostly "poke here and see what happens" rather than any systematic evaluation.
I do know that a lack of a database tool has been an obstacle in getting people to accept OO. My opinion is that we do all that we can to support the current effort so that the Open Office suite is complete. Rick.
