OOo 2.0, due out later this spring, is a lot like MS Office for regular
users. It also includes some nifty elements which MS Office, alas,
lacks. But for creating a text document, or spreadsheet, or
presentation, you should find it easy and intuitive.

The key advantages, in my mind:

* Stable
* Fast
* Standard user interface
* Compatible with Microsoft Office file formats
* Export to PDF, Shockwave Flash
* Modern file format
