Hello everyone, This saturday we will start a series of bi-weekly IRC conferences, hosted by the NLC. These conferences will be brief and informal. Each one starts with a lightning talk, that is, a short 10-20min talk. Then there is a 5min Question & Answer period (moderated) and then a "free for all" time where anyone can chat.
The goal of these talks are: 1) To help different language communities exchange ideas. 2) To help people who would not normally talk (due to being in different communities) to talk. :-) I'm maintaining the conference schedule here: http://native-lang.openoffice.org/conference/ As you can see, the first talk will be: Day: Saturday, March 05 Time: 15:00 UTC Speaker: Daniel Carrera :-) Title: INREACH, building an active community I'm starting simply because I have a talk ready, so I'll try to get the ball rolling. I asked around and 15:00 UTC seemed workable for most countries. Let's see how it turns out. If you are interested in giving a talk, give me a shout. It's not hard, it's only a short talk. I'll help you out! We are especially interested in talks from language communities that don't have a scheduled talk yet (e.g. French, Japanese, German). Cheers, -- Daniel Carrera | I don't want it perfect, Join OOoAuthors today! | I want it Tuesday. http://oooauthors.org | --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
