Yikes! My computer fluked?

I just discovered that the entire Windows Drive isn't being properly indexed by
the windows file indexing component. I went to go hunting for files across
drives C:/D: and then tried search specificaly on drive C:, both times files on
the drive did not register through search... What?

I ran into this flunky behavior when I went search for Open Office components
and executibles that were loaded it resident memory areas as displayed by the
processes tab of the Task Manager.

I am NOT saying that the errors I'm getting with Open Office are the fault of
windows, yet, but they... Might be? I'll install from scratch, then run a
backup on the install, to restore if necessary and then give Open Office a run.

The result of this accident could be my absent mindedness in installing windows
updates. Not restarting after each and such... *rolls eyes* I still encourage
the development team to go back and try to track down those database bugs.
Funny business. But noticing that the indexing system is down, it may also lead
to application bugs, because they may not be able to find their files either.
