I think that it is supported, but please ask on [email protected] for a
more definitive answer. Also note that OpenOffice.org 2.0 will also support
XForms which can also be an interesting alternative.

Many VBA macros will work in OpenOffice.org with only minor tweaks. Also
almost all Excel functions should work without any problems.
