Is it my laptop or is OOo beta significantly slower than earlier versions? Is there debugging code in it or something that is slowing things down. On Windows Impress takes an age to load on my machine and editing slides seems sluggish. Its a laptop with 1.8 GHz P4 and 256 meg of RAM. It worries me that if the final release is like this we will get a lot of ctiticism and unfavourable comparisons with MSO. I thought the intention was to speed things up!
