Alternative solution:
A friend handed me a 16MB PowerPoint file. (!)
I opened it in OOo and saved as .sxi. The new file fit inside a floppy disk. :-)
:-) Good call.
I'll have to try it -- if I still have that awful .ppt file. Except I'm thinkin' .odp instead of .sxi.
BTW, you'll be glad to know God's intended order is in place in my little corner of the world - PNGs & JPEGs all the way.
After more than a year of using OOo I learn that bloated PowerPoint files aren't the images' fault. Not to mention OOo converts images to PNGs - how cool is that?! ...something new everyday...
