Thank you for taking the time to read this e-mail. I don't know if anyone else has stated these ideas yet or not and I have tried to look through the bug report area but got confused. Here are a couple ideas:
1) A better thesaurus. I can't say how many times I've used the thesaurus for MS Word. Word perfect doesn't even have as good of a thesaurus.
2) Use the same Window. When I open a file in OOo 2.0 Beta, it opens a whole new window with that file and leaves the other one blank. I don't know if that was done on purpose or not but I think it would be better to have it open in the same window.
Anyways, thank you once again for hearing me out. I look foreward to the release of OOo 2.0

In my copy of OOo 1.9.87 on Win XP, if I am in a blank OOo window (no files open) and the open a Writer document. It opens in that window.
Is this the problem you are describing?
