Please excuse a small niggle -

previously when I opened 1.4 using the small icon in the tray I was presented
with a menu from which I could open a document, choose a template or open a
blank.

With OOo2.0 I find the programme opens immediately with an automatic blank
(usually a Writer document in my case - I have a Writer shortcut set up in the
WinXP start menu)

If I want to use a template, which I do usually, then I have to open another doc from
"file". The blank one remains underneath unless I close it.

I preferred the original way - but perhaps I have simply missed the correct way
to open the programme?

Or does this relate to the discussion about the tray icon (which I did not
fully follow).

Hope the point is not too trivial - in general still hugely like OO

Thanks (very much so to all the effort)

Adrian

Robert Derman replies: I have noticed this, and also that it is a mixed curse. There is the advantage that since there is this blank document under whatever else, I can close whatever documents I have been working on without having the toolbars close, which was always a big nuisance with OOo. I hope that if the developers fix this they will also finally correct the lost toolbars with no document open flaw.
