Yes....your likely right about that that...I don't know much about
programing. Also the fear is I am running Windows XP and even it has
this nasty habit of crashing when it get programs it (or microsoft) does
not like every once in awhile. And I can't really use Linux or FreeBSD
as a primary OS as gaming software hates ite. A huge block to Free and
Open source OSs.

Just curious. I am using right now the lastest stable release. version
1.1.4 and while it gets th job done, I'd like to play with some of the
new features of v2.0. Basicly does it cause any known fatal errors? As
in really bad things that make me reinstall the OS. I have done used
Betas before and I don'tm ind using one for OpenOffice. I just want to
know how much risk is involed when I load v2.0
If an application can crash or damage your OS it's a problem of the OS,
not the application.
But anyway, I never used had version of OOo on any OS that damaged the
latter. Of course beta versions are known to crash a little more often
than production releases and some features might show a strange behavior
at times. But I never damaged my OS using OOo (or StarOffice).
