Thanks for your reply.

Did you check the boxes on your 1.1.4 or 2.0 Beta install?  I have never 
checked the boxes, so I don't know if the behaviour differs when you 
have asked OOo to open the MSO file types for you on a previous 
release.

I also uninstalled the 2.0Beta before installing 1.9.84, then uninstalled 
that before installing 1.9.87.  I don't see the point in having more than 
one 1.9, as long as the one I'm installing is designated as a public 
release.

Would you be prepared to uninstall the 2.0Beta and the 1.9.87, then try 
again installing 1.9.87?
