That looks kind of clever, but hey. I still like my idea better. OOo already has a macro / VBA component. We could utilize that, to animate an ilusionary moving cursor, routine actions, prompts, and dialogues, including veryfying cursor positions, tracking clicks, and so on.
I think it would be a great idea to take advantage of OOo's VBA component. If I had more experience in VB I'd fiddle with it myself. I'm learning programming over, from years and years ago. Moving into the 21st century.
