*-* Yes, very good ;)) > I am an attorney in San Francisco, California (SF, CA for short). I > have been trying very hard to get lawyers to use OOo, and have not > been very lucky. There are lots and lots of programs in CA law > which depend on Microsoft Office (MSO). *-* The same thing in Italy were lawyers can't think anything else about MSO. But we've to understand that they don't know anything about alternative softwares like OpenOffice.org. If we don't learn to our Colleagues the *existence* of this sort of software we are forced to stay alone, in a niche! :( > I have given two seminars on using OOo and Linux in a law > environment. No luck. I have talked to lawyers at conventions. > No luck. I have offered to give free computers to my lawyer > friends with Linux and OOo. No luck. > *-* Well, I know... It's an hard job, but we are proud to be the first (more or less) in this particular matter (relationship between lawyers and open source) and we'll go on! ;-) > One very easy way to do that would be to go this website: > > http://www.DIYparts.org [CUT] *-* Thank's for the advice! ;-) But now I would like to know if anybody can help us in our little problem. As I said before, we want to become a Community Distributor, but we don't fall within anyone of the project listed in OOo website (we aren't a mere cd-rom distributor, neither OEM distributors and so on). Then we would like to know what sort of *distributor* we can be and which are the requirements to follow. Thank's. ----------------------------------------------- Avv.
