Thank you for your feedback. After my initial posting on the list I
was informed (also on the list) that it was not my incapability but in
fact a missing functionallity.
It is filed as
[Issue 48179] "Cannot step back slideshow animations"
and related
[Issue 45197] "I can't stop slideshow animation effects with a
mouseclick"
I have voted for both issues and tried to stress the importance of
these features for anyone using Impress on a productive basis. I would
be gratefull if those who consider this issue equally important could
vote for it as well. (Or even better solve it by code - this is
unfortunately something I *AM* incapable at)
