I have a problem with my Deskjet 5151 and OpenOffice.org 1.1.4 on my SuSE 9.3 Linux. I'm not sure if OOo could be the problem, maybe it produces somehow faulty PostScript? It begins with a document in OpenOffice.org 1.1.4. This document has some formatted text with TrueType Fonts Arial and Times New Roman, a special character - the Euro sign - is included. Now I print this file by using a PostScript (.ps) file or send the PostScript directly to the cups printing system. Then the printout has errors, like missing parts in characters like M, b, h, a block is missing in the first upward straight line of the characters. Then I take the PostScript file and convert is to PDF, eg. using ps2pdf.When I print the resulting PDF, there are no errors in the printout, the quality is okay. Has anyone an idea what is going on here?
