Cool, I'll have to try it. I was sticking to 1.1.4 when I was doing my term papers and such the last few weeks so I didn't notice that development.

Wishlist item: Take this one step further and make keyboard assignment of Styles available through either or both of:

1. Context menu when you right click on a style in the Stylist window.

2. On the Organizer tab of the style dialog.

Yes, agreed. We planned to allow shortcut assignment in the "Styles And
Formatting" window but dropped that due to time pressure.

So we could still see this in the future?

Another thing I've wished for is a character style drop-box on the toolbar like the one for paragraph styles. That's another big reason for me that paragraph styles are easier to use than character styles. As it is there is no indication of which character style is currently in effect unless the Stylist window is open and often I would like to collapse it to regain screen real estate.

But what's so bad with having the stylist open? If you followed your
path consequently you could end up with a toolbar item for most
attributes you can think of. Maybe an optional toolbar control (not
visible by default) would be a good compromise.

That would be great. Let's face it, the default "out-of-the-box" toolbar layout is just your best guess of what most people will want. I always go through a process of customizing mine anyway -- drop a few items that I never use and add a few others.

It might not be a bad idea to have the Page style indicated somewhere as well, maybe in the Status bar, now that I think of it.
