We have had several documents that when we tried to open them they required a filter selection and we were not able to open them. These documents have been on a shared drive and always in the past we have been to open them on someone elses computer with no "filter selection" resave and the original person could then open it. This is the first time we have completely lost the file, but my original question is why does the "filter selection" keep coming up as a problem for us?
