Of course, but don't shoot the messenger. That was the meaning of my comment. > >http://www.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=discuss&msgNo=49451 > > I don't get it. This is about Chinese characters. Then the website and/or your browser are messed up. Which chinese characters? I have checked again now, and the link is correct. It is a message from M. Bauer on april 25th, saying, among other things: "I don't see a problem with OOo Add-Ons in this scenario because the OOo strategy is that Add-Ons created for version X will still run with version XX 3 years later because the API is kept compatible and the whole deployment process is under complete control of OOo itself. Of course the Add-On will not be updated to the latest version, but at least this is not necessary to keep it running." > reference to complete control. > > >>Most things you find in OOoMacros are not add-ons. > > > >[...] > > > >>But that doesn't make it an OOo package, and you can't blame OOo > >>packages if a self-made installer breaks. > > > >Whatever. Daniel, I only see that both you and I must be very sleepy (I am). I have only said, as a service, "this guy has reported a problem with *that* thing, if somebody cares he may want to check it". I haven't concluded or criticized anything, not from that anonymous comment anyway. Good night.
