many people like the idea of being able to customize their software, people like me who like to customize linux and the kde environment etc, etc. But there are also regular people who like to personalize their computer. I think that having some kind of skin manager/editor would be great. The only shortcoming that openoffice has is its lackluster apearance, and that is where I think it could have a great advantage over other programs like MS Word which are just as boring looking.
