Exactly. You get more speed for less money. I would call that a kind of
development. And exactly this kind of development allows computer
manufacturers to sell the same computer for a smaller price without
losing money.

You are right about the architectural development, but that's not what I
was referring to (sorry for being unclear). Regarding prices this kind
of development usually does the opposite. :-)
