Is styles realy the first step in understanding the OOo arrangement with text

Ignore Styles in OOo at your peril.
I agree and after all these years, I now need to learn styles.
I am an old WordPerfect fan and for the type of documents that I do,
reveal codes is much more useful. But for many documents and
especially for businesses that are trying to stick to set standards
for all documents, then styles are the way to go.
Get the reveal code project/code working in 2.0 and I will be the
happiest typer in the world.
Using them correctly makes things that are impossible to do in
MSOffice trivial to do in OOo.

I have heard the death screams down the hall as MS Word has just
reformatted a document that someone was just about finished on without
any undo.
