I just cruised your preso there. Really nice. You always do such
quality presos. Quite thoughtful and very interesting. I find your
presos more interesting than the new Batman movie AND every opera I've
seen in SF, to compare two ends of the spectrum!! ;-) I'm
always bummed whenever I have to miss a Simon Phipps preso.

I also like the fact that you tend to build on your themes: rivers;
artisans; commons. Those are deep themes, and you do a good job of
continuing to keep them fresh. I also think that you do a tasteful
job of weaving in the Sun plugs. Your presos are one of the best
examples of how it is possible for commercial plugs to be genuinely
informative. There are very few who can consistently manage to do as
well as you do at being authentically intellectual while
simultaneously staying on your employer's message. I really wonder
what you could do if you didn't have to stay on-message, and could
drop the commercial bits. Not that I mind the commercial bits too
much. Sun does good stuff for the community, and its Participation
Age advertising thing is one of the best marketing blitzes to come out
of corporate America, period. Still, I just wonder what else you
could bring in if you didn't have the professional constraint of
staying on-message.
