Hello guys,

I had a chance to research color names in OO.o and I found that some of
color names in OO.o do not match to the color itself. Those mismatched color
names I found are

Blue -> Dark blue
Green -> Dark green
Turquoise -> Dark turquoise
Red -> Dark red
Magenta -> Dark magenta
Brown -> Dark yellow
.
FYI, you can refer to list of colors & names (with Korean translation) in
OO.o here - http://oooko.net/gomme/wp-content/uploads/ooo_color_table.pdf .

The worst one is 'Brown'. When I tried the brown in OO.o, I thought that it
is time to replace my monitor or to check up my eyes :-). After talking to
my friends about this, I confirmed that this is a bug of OO.o and filed this
issue - http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=51819 .

As you might see in the issue, it was not taken as defect but as
enhancement. Actually, I also agreed on that considering color selection UI
in writer only. However, when I tried the UI in impress, I believe that this
should be more than a enhancement. In impress, those mismatched color names
really confuse users because the UI leads user to choose color mainly by its
name instead of color itself. This screenshot shows the difference clearly -
http://www.openoffice.org/nonav/issues/showattachment.cgi/28018/color_selection_ui.png.

How do you guys think about this? Also, I wonder if there is a way to
customize the color table. Any comment would be appreciated.

Regards,
Jeongkyu
