Actually, once you have activated the selection tool (arrow), you don't have to draw a selection rectangle. You can then just click to select a background object.

I found this message again and tested what you said, and you are correct. Thanks. I think the reason I never tried this is because in 1.1.4 the arrow is buried and I would never think to go get it and in 1.9.x it is the same thing, you have to open up the draw toolbar to get the arrow.

This works for all types of drawing objects / shapes, while Navigator only works for objects that have names.

True, but pictures always have names.

Question, how do you name a drawing object?
