Hi Pierre,
entering characters beyond the basic repertoire of your keyboard is
typically solved by what is called "Input Method Editor" (IME) or by
dynamically switching the keyboard layout. This type of functionality is
not part of the application but part of the operating system, so you
won't find it in OpenOffice.org.
I recommend to either check on websites that deal with your operating
system or to check with the Greek OpenOffice.org native lang mailing list.
If it's just about entering very few characters then you might get away
with entering them from "Insert -> Special Character ..." menu in
OpenOffice.org. You might want to try that to at least make sure that
your font works with OpenOffice.org.
best regards

I am using OO1.1.4, and have at last found a Unicode font for the full
range of Classical Polytonic Greek.
The pages for this are "Greek and Coptic" 0374--03FF and "Greek
Extended" 1F00--1FFF. There will also be some Private Area coding
needed owing to some unaccountable omissions from "Greek Extended."
I find no discussion of how to get at these higher pages of the Unicode
code set. Is it possible, or is Latin-1 the only coding enabled at the
Keyboard?
The natural language sections of the Open Office site discuss a great
deal about use of content once it is available in the Open Office suite,
but not, so far as I can see about how to get the stuff in there in the
first place.
Have I just missed something in the documentation? or is this a major
project just waiting to be started?
