It makes me very proud, to be a member of this discussion group; where people can get together to discuss the open office forum. Grammar checkers as well as Spelling checkers, although a very good thing does make you very lazy, the other problem comes with spelling words i.e. UK English, USA English, and AU English, I don't think I have ever seen an AU Australian dictionary but who knows, right. Grammar checkers, are a very good thing as they assist the novice, to articulate written, that which is spoken, but beware there are also different schools of thought when it comes here as well.
It was pointed out Jonathon, that an add-on could be downloaded to solve, your problem; here is where my point comes in, OOo gives you the option to install a grammar tool, even the novice like myself can handle, with out reading hundreds of pages to do so; whereas "I won't mention its name" does not, either its installed auto or you have to read hundreds of pages to do so, and then once its there just try getting rid of it! My point Amy, Jonathon and others is OOo did pretty good here by me and I think the guys deserve a 'pat on the back and a good work fellas' So, well done guys. I personally think OOo is worth paying for BUT I thank you guys every day when I use it for giving it for FREE.
