I notice that the list of HOWTOs for the Database Access section is
missing a Mail Merge howto:

I'm sure that a clever and motivated person could figure it out from the
existing documents, but mail merge is such a common activity that it would
be useful to have a slap-me-in-the-face-obvious document on Mail Merge
that even an MBA could find and follow. I know some good articles have
been written and that there have been presentations at conferences or
seminars.
I'll volunteer to help with proofreading, but can't offer any technical
assistance until a more recent version of OOo than 1.1.2 comes out for OS
X. Othwerwise I'd take a crack at writing it myself.
