I agree 100%. This missing feature is currently the only real reason that prevents me from using OpenOffice for my lectures. I have already filed an issue 48179. You can vote for it too: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=48179 (You need to registered) Hopefully voting will push this issue's priority upward!
