I find the maximum page size in Draw to be too small. It's max at 119 by
119 cm or 46.85"x46.85" for 'user' size. As I work in a science
institution and we often make poster presentations.

I would suggest you to use "scale-up". Just use as paper an A1 sheet. Make
all dimensions half of final desired lenght (and font size). Print to PDF
or PS file. And when going to printer, ask printers to scale by 200% the
final size. I have used this techique even between A4 and A0 (4x magnification):
advantages of vector graphics.

I'll probably do that when left no choice.
We really hoped to move completely to OO and kick that win machine from lab and use it for something else. Most people on the other hand would find this scaling too awkward or don't use vector graphics (either choice or they have no option) so they'll have to keep their Win partitions on their laptops for Corel and MS Office. Too bad this hasn't been fixed as it's been like that for a couple of years now.
Thanks!

Igor
