I think many people recognise the desirability of SVG import. However,
he who pays the piper calls the tune and if its not high on Sun's agenda
for their engineering support its left to whoever has the
skills/resources to do it. We at least have someone who has done
something but it would be better to have it as just an integral part of
the drawing engine. All you can do is vote for the issue and hope.
