Are there any add-ons available that will do grammer checking in OOo.

I think many businesses would jump at a chance to save big bucks with an
office suite that does everything Microsoft Office does at a fraction of
the cost.

At the moment there is no plans to add grammar checking to OOo2.0. Grammar
checking is very complex and error prone (both false positives and false
negatives). The infrastructure is mostly in place (there are grammar checkers
available for other languages).
