Here is a link to an interesting video on the new

I haven't use MS office for over a year , but if
you
are working on UI it is a well spent 41 minutes.

Also, if you think that moving to Office 12 will be
a walk in the park,
you may want to think again.
This could be the best news for OOo supporters.
Nooooooo.....(gasp for air) you misunderstand my
intentions of providing the video. I'm sticking with
OOo! Been using linux for about five years was able
to get rid of dual boot when OOo and eclipse meet my
needs a little over a year ago. I provided the video
to OOo so ui developers could cheery pick the good
ideas

Also to comment.
It took a long time to get the video downloaded and it is long. There
are things in the video that I agree with that the OOo development teams
should be looking at. There are also things in there that look like
Microsoft may have borrowed from OOo such as her comment about
floaty(sp). Their ribbon is really a powerful menu bar and I have seen
this in old WordPerfect so I don't find it that great.
The instant preview is very nice but that is also a hit on resources. I
can imagine some office putting this on and finding that the time it
takes to create a document is a real pain. Also I think it is a
reflection on the poor undo ability that I have experienced in Word.
I notice that she was using the word styles for allot of the formatting.
I wonder if that could be a legal issue as OOo uses "Styles" as a term
for formatting.
As with many Office upgrades, this will require more processing power
and may not sell well in the market. Especially if the economy takes a
hit due to government borrowing due to the disasters.
