Here in the Embrapa we are adopting free software, as Mozilla,
OpenOffice and future the Linux. We are finding a difficulty in solving
a problem that we find and that it can occur in other units of the
Embrapa in the remaining portion of Brazil. It is the following one:
the laboratories of the Embrapa need to use the dispersion graph to get
the equation of the straight line and the value of r². As much in
excel, how much in Calc it is sufficiently simple to generate a graph of
dispersion with a trend line. However, the problem happens when we need
to use the function(equation of the straight line and value of r-square)
that it exists in the Excel and does not exist in Calc.
As we could decide this problem, therefore already we try other
alternatives of free software, but we find problem the same.
If it will be possible to make it of some form please in indicates them
as.
