Yeah, right, okay. It's one state. And it's not like it is everybody in
the
state - it's just people doing business with the state. So, maybe a

thousand downloads over the next year and a half? I don't think we need

This has been /.'d and there are some interesting links. One is why
Microsoft doesn't feel that OpenDocument is a decent file standard. Of
course there is a response on how *.doc is not an open standard.
Of course Microsoft is also moving from binary *.doc format to a
propriertory XML format in Office 12 as a default.
Microsoft is afraid that if they lose this battle, it will show that
their "open" format isn't really open and lead to more problems in Europe.
I wonder how many people will be shocked when they receive a document
from someone with Word 12 and finds that they cannot open it.
