Thanks for the input. OpenOffice.org 2.0 should be able to open WordPerfect 
files. I think that eventually that it may even be able to open Quattro 
files. However it is not as easy as simply flicking a switch. Several things 
have to be available :
1) there has to be some description of the format of the file to open. If you 
have such a description of the file formats for Quattro.
2) there have to be developers , and testers willing work on this
3) the code has to be in an acceptable state for the OpenOffice.org team to 
add that code to the standard OOo code repository.

Can you please report this in issuezilla ? ( http://openoffice.org -> "My 
Pages" -> "Register", then when you receive a confirmation email, "Login" and 
"File an issue" )
In this way the relevant developers will see your  suggestion and you will 
also see the progress of this feature / bug report if it is accepted.
