Daniel, Ooo is free for the download NOT $70. The main server is in the midst of an upgrade and may or may not be accessible; however the following is a mirror that is relatively close to you: ftp://ftp.ussg.iu.edu/pub/openoffice/stable/1.1.5/ You will notice this is the stable release and is likely better for your needs that the beta rc.
