I've been a background watcher for a while and I'm confused where to post what and how to search for open issues. I'm not sure if the issue query just isn't working or I'm doing it wrong. I have accessed the help area and I'm unable to see where I'm doing something wrong. I am a newer user to OOo, I've been using it for about 9 months now, but haven't really delved into the "correct" use. I have taken the last two days to do that and have run into a few issues. Hence my searching the issues and also not knowing what list to contact with my problems.

My 1st issue involved the bullet problem which I have sense worked out but have been unable to find if this is an open issue or not.

I have a question on how to do something.. which I would think I should post to the user group? The other is what appears to be an "issue" with the program, which I should then post to discuss about? From doing a search in the archives the difference between the two lists are the user list is a how to and the discuss list is a discussion list... but what kind of discussion I'm not sure. I'll use my 2 problems as examples of my confusion.

Problem 1:
Is there anyway to restart the page numbering if you used ctrl-enter to create page breaks and then assigned page styles?

Problem 2:
When using Insert>Manual Break
Page break
selecting: change page number

you end up with a blank page between sections.

So Problem 1 should be posted to the user list and where does problem 2 get posted to?

How do I query for problem 2 in the Issue Tracker? I've searched by selecting all issue types; selecting word processing in the component field; selecting all status's; platform as all; I selected the 3 listed 2.0 versions and entered the words: blank page in the summary, a description entry and keyword box I didn't not find this and only received results with the description entry query. So at that point do I post this to which group or should I file an issue? I did find through reading some of the other issues issue# 3910. However 3910 is for version 1.0 not 2.0. So again what should a conscientious user do? 3910 also deals with duplex printing which I am not trying to do, however all the blank pages printed. Is this because the beginning of a new page style should "always" print on the right side?

anyway, any help with my problems and where exactly I should post what to would be very helpful. I am not completely computer challenged and have been on the net for years. it's no wonder someone completely new get confused here...
