You have a Common.xcu file in every user installation of OOo. Please
read the instructions carefully. Depending on the way how you installed
OOo (single user or "-net") your "user" directory is either in the OOo
program installation folder (beneath the "share" or "program" folder) or
it is inside your "Document And Settings\..." folder. Please note that
the latter is a "hidden" folder on XP by default so you might fail to
find a "openoffice.org.1.x.x" folder inside. You can use the Windows
Explorer Options to enable the display of hidden folders.

Starting from this "user" folder you should be able to find the
Common.xcu in the subfolder "registry\data\org\openoffice\office".

Please make sure that you don't delete files insinde your "share" folder
as also mentioned in the instructions.

Best regards,
Mathias
