JDBC is not really an option for me. I'm working with locked down
Windows XP workstations that only have ODBC installed.
There's been a bug open and unconfirmed on this for several months that
I don't think was ever even looked at. It's disappointing to see the
database application released without it being addressed.
Still the flagship applications - spreadsheet and word processor - are
excellent. It's great to have a full feature WP and spreadsheet without
having to contribute hundreds of dollars to the Gates retirement fund.
