I have recently been messing around on a friend's computer with a commercial word processor for editorial use (I always feel faintly guilty saying such a thing, for no good reason really except wanting to see OOo do well. But there you go - it is interesting to look at the things available when you can. To assuage my guilt I'll leave it unnamed).
This one allows you to have multiple user dictionaries for the spell check functions in the same way OOo does (actually I find OOo's dictionaries marginally more usable but it's a moot point). Anyway one good thing you can do in that program is to export the contents of a dictionary as a simple text file. That means you can later edit the dictionary contents in an ordinary text processor and move the words to other applications too. Or you can do a list of words in a text file and import them to the dictionary. Seems very useful. Can that be done with OOo's user dictionaries? If not how would I request it as a function?
