If you have both computers on a netwrok then you could also use VNC on the 
windows machine and yout keyboard and mouse on your linux machine with the 
x2x  program so that when you move your mouse pointer beyond the left(or 
right) screen border the mouse "magically" appears on your windows machine.
It's a "virtual" KVM.
